The challenge
StartUp Britain, a national campaign to promote entrepreneurship across the UK, launched a national tour to inspire and support aspiring entrepreneurs. I was tasked with designing both digital and physical materials for this tour, including the complete exterior wrap for a double-decker bus that would serve as a mobile hub for entrepreneurial resources and events.
What I did
To create a design that would be both eye-catching and representative of British innovation, I developed a simple red, white, and blue circular motif reminiscent of the Royal Air Force roundel. This design was applied to the bus exterior, ensuring it stood out as it traveled across the country. The minimalist approach avoided overwhelming viewers with excessive content, instead inviting curiosity and engagement from the public.
The results
The bus became a recognizable symbol of the StartUp Britain campaign, attracting attention and participation at each stop. The design's clarity and national symbolism effectively communicated the campaign's mission, contributing to increased awareness and support for entrepreneurship throughout the UK.
